TheriForm™ Technology

The proprietary TheriForm™ technology, allows for precise three-dimensional geometry and architecture including controlled porosity and ingrowth channels. This revolutionary technology allows Therics to manufacture a variety of products with a consistent macro and micro pore structure that encourage new bone ingrowth.

By combining several distinct new technologies, Therics fabricates implantable bio-structures that will provide clinicians with unique capabilities and solutions, even for the most challenging presentations. With TheriForm™ technology, these implants can be manufactured with precise wickable internal micro-architectures that provide the osteo-conductive properties needed to encourage optimal bone tissue in-growth while the scaffold resorbs.

The TheriForm™ implant is compatible with any bio-additives that may be desired such as:

  • Human demineralized bone matrix (DBM)
  • Plasma rich platelet solution
  • Bone chips
  • Bone marrow
  • Blood
  • Drugs
  • Other bio-active substances
Please note the following data and visuals that illustrate the advantages of the proprietary TheriForm™ microfabrication process.

The properties of channels created by the TheriForm™ microfabrication process can be controlled to yield specific internal structures that enable tissue ingrowth and nutrient delivery

Proprietary pore structure with channels allows new bone ingrowth (light blue) which has penetrated into the implant (dark gray) through the channels. (100x at 4 months)

The unique macro- and micro architecture of the implant allowed for stable packing into the site and controlled resorption over time.
